​Scott is a 3rd generation real estate development and commercial real estate executive from Honolulu, Hawaii who has extensive institutional and private portfolio management, acquisition, disposition, equity and debt financing experience. Over his 30+ year career he has worked for prominent firms in commercial real estate and development and recreational development in Hawaii, California, Arizona and the Northwest.  Beginning in 1988 he was the key development executive in Honolulu responsible for development and sales management for the Nauru Government – an assignment which included luxury resort towers Nauru Tower and Hawai’iki Tower. Scott culminated his high-rise mixed-use development run as VP of Development for a Japanese-financed, ground-up 240,000 square foot / 120 residential condo mixed use project which was completed in 1993 on the waterfront in Honolulu CBD on a City & County of Honolulu Ground lease. 

 
In 1994 Scott was named the VP of Asset Management and Acquisitions for Trinity Investment Trust, LLC a private equity group focused on opportunistic acquisitions in Hawaii and Japan whose key capital source was Apollo Real Estate Advisors out of New York.  Scott parlayed the opportunity to become Managing Director of CBRE’s Honolulu Office in the early 2000’s achieving record revenues, servicing the company’s institutional local, mainland and institutional clients.  He departed CBRE in 2002 to relocate to the Mainland and refocus on principal-level real estate investment activities.

Over the past ten years he has held several key executive positions including the VP of Acquisitions for a prominent private real estate equity group in Phoenix, AZ, VP of Real Estate for Miraval Resorts, as well as lead development positions with a number of large-scale master-planned communities including the 3,500-acre Club At Spanish Peaks (Big Sky, Montana), and the 1,000-acre resort community of Lone Moose Meadows, also in Big Sky Montana, just north of Yellowstone National Park.  In 2010 he returned to Hawaii as Senior VP of Development for the 8,000+ acre development at Princeville (on the North Shore of Kauai) for The Resort Group and Morgan Stanley.

In addition to his involvement with Cadence, Scott currently works with Replay Resorts assisting them to fully realize the company's vision for the 1,300 acre 452 key Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu’s fabled North Shore; a destination resort on Oahu's North Shore.  In his role, he manages and advises Replay and their key strategic partners on real estate, construction, development and political strategy.

He is active in the Urban Land Institute (ULI), where he has served as Membership Committee Chair in the ULI-Arizona District Council and was the founding Chairman of the ULI-Hawaii District Council and currently serves on the leadership committee.  Scott graduated with a B.S.C. in Finance from University of Santa Clara, is a Punahou School graduate and classmate of President Barack Obama.  He resides in Honolulu with his wife Amy who works with Catholic Charities and troubled youth in Hawaii.  His daughter Sarah is an attorney in Boise Idaho and his son Seth is planning to start his commercial real estate career in Honolulu.
